Speaking issue..

We can define Speaking skill like: "...is the productive skill in the oral mode. It, like the other skills, is more complicated than it seems at first and involves more than just pronouncing words." (www.sil.org)

As we can see, the speaking skill is more complicated that it seems. Actually, our dear teacher +Aida Sermeno had some troubles developing this skill because she was so shy and she was afraid of other listening to her.

this is a difficult situation, but she could overcome that situation through the interaction with her students. In that way she gained more confidence in the use of English and that situation (being a teacher) helped her to collect more vocabulary.

Her favorites activities were those developed in group because she could get some ideas and new vocabulary and in this way avoid speaking with everybody's attention to her.

To improve all our skills is such a challangue, but the important is to work hard and never give up! Nicely done teacher +Aida Sermeno and thanks for sharing your expirience with us!

Moral Response

There is an important issue that is faded from almost all the fields of our society. It is a risk to forget what the ballast of the human person is. This ballast is also called Moral. The lack of moral values in our students is a difficult obstacle in the development of our country, and it is also a painful wound to our society. 

There was a group of student of high school. This group had just finished his studies in high school, and they decided to have a party to celebrate the end of their scholar year. In this party there was a girl (since this is a real life story, I will name this girl “Sharon”) who was suffering from renal failure. Sharon was on medication for this problem. She and her friends were having a great time at that party. In that party, they were three boys who like to go out and find girls to rape them. During the party this guys were looking for a victim, but all the girls seemed to be alert. 

Sharon started to consume alcohol with her friends, and one of her friend offered her marijuana. Sharon accepted the marijuana. At this point everything was a mess in that party. Almost all were drunk, drugged or both of them. At about ten p.m., Sharon started to feel bad. There was a reaction of the medicines with the alcohol and drugs and she fainted and started to convulse. All the guys at the party got scared and some of them left the place, others didn’t know what to do because they thought that Sharon was dead. After a while, the three guys decided that it was their time to act out. They hired a boy to take them with Sharon´s body out of the city. They went to a place that is 1 mile from downtown. Once they were in that place, the truck driver left the three guys with the corpse. They started to rape Sharon. One by one the guys took turns to rape her. 

The next morning, the police was alerted about a corpse near the high way. Sharon´s boyfriend (let me call him Will) was called to go to that place and recognize the corpse, but when Will arrive the place, he jumped over Sharon´s corpse and he felt a little heartbeat. They discovered that Sharon wasn’t dead, she was unconscious. Sharon was taken to the hospital and by now she is better physically, but mentally she is not so good. She has a trauma. Everyone knows who are the guilty, but Sharon´s family didn’t want to file charges. 

Education is one thing that people don’t want to understand, and moral values are other thing that people don’t want to practice. When people understand what education is, and start to practice moral values, our country will be amazing.
