Vs.
Well...this
entry is about two practical and useful tools that help us to create debates,
communicate or share experiences all around the web.
For the most useful and easiest to manage is
Voicethread. It is easy to find the tools, to comment, and to share. There are
also features like video recording and text addition, these useful tools aren´t
available in Voxopop. I woul stay with Voicethread because it is easy to share,
to add, to comment and the platform is more confident. I guess Voxopop is
boring and doesn’t allow us to do so much but record audio. There are several good ideas on how to use Voicethread in an educational way. What I really would like to do is ask some students to go to a Voicethread in which they will find a piece of a story with a doodle made by my own (the story and the doodle). So far, I'd ask student to add a part to the story and if possible a doodle! so, they will build up a really nice story with doodles!
Another idea is that student can pick or choose a country to look information about. Then, one by one will add the information they got about their countries with pictures. At the end, we will have a complete attlas! This could work as well with natural wonders, or something alike.
In Voxopop we can take ora exams! In this way, we can have a record of how the students read. We can avoid hesitating when grading and we will have backup to be check in case it is needed.
Voxopop could be also used to record journals.
Very cool opinion Marvin. Totally in agreement with you. I think Voicethread is more complete due to the wide range of alternatives that provides to share your thoughts. Voxopop seems to be focused on the speaking part of their users only. It is a good tool, but if I might make a choice, I'd rather prefer to use Voicethread than Voxopop.
ReplyDeletenice! we agree!
ReplyDeleteVoicethread! Always voicethread! It is more interactive and allows you to challenge different skills such as speaking and writing. If you want to apply voicethread when you teach, I assure you that students will love that new experience.
